Vitamins I took while pregnant :)

Pregnancy is THE most amazing gift any woman can get in her lifetime, its a gift that changes your life in more ways than one. During a pregnancy we go through so many changes, physically, mentally and emotionally. Everything changes like EVERYTHING, but for the good 🙂 🙂 we grow these beautiful tiny tiny people inside our bodies for 9 months. (how amazing are we?) ha ha

As Mother’s it is our duty and responsibility to make sure we are giving our bundle of joy the best start in life, and that starts from the second your pregnancy test says PREGNANT……. As a Mother we have a responsibility to take care of ourselves but also our baby that is growing day by day, minute by minute.

I remember on my first pregnancy with my son Xavier I was so so careful, I went straight into Mammy mode and I changed all
of my bad habits, I wanted to be in the best physical, mental and emotional shape I possibly could be.

Pregnancy brings on so many emotions that we never experienced before, it is such a magical time but it can be a stressful time swell and sometime we cannot prevent certain stress our body’s undergo.
Before my pregnancies I was always quite bad at taking vitamins and supplements, I would buy them take them for a few days and then forget all about them, but as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I didn’t forget to take my vitamins at all…. WHY? because this wasn’t just about me anymore, I was growing a beautiful baby inside of me, MY baby and I was 100% certain that I was going to be the best I could be for that baby.

So I got to work, First I needed to take supplements to make sure myself and baby was getting all of the required nutrients on a daily
basis. The first thing I got was Vitabiotics Pregnacare Plus – this is a multivitamin including the recommended level of 400mcg folic acid and 10 mcg vitamin D plus an additional Omega-3 capsule to provide a rich source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) which contributes to normal brain and eye development of the foetus (THIS IS A MUST, OMEGA IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IN GENERAL BUST PARTICULARLY IN PREGNANCY) see link below

The thought of having stretch marks killed me inside, people might think its vain but personally I just wanted to try avoid this as much as I could, I had the attitude of “If it happens it happens obviously I won’t care as I will have my baby but at the same time I will try to look after my skin as best I can,” so many of my friends have stretch marks and they are really self conscious about them and I didn’t want to be the same, so I was researching a lot of products and I came across this one that I had never heard of called mama mio – tummy rub for stretch marks – I wanted something different and I didn’t care how much it cost I didn’t want to just get a regular oil. Mama Mio is specifically for stretch marks so obviously it jumped out at me and said BUY ME, and by god am I happy I did. Mama Mio contains Borage Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, these 4 ingredients are extremely rich ingredients, all combined wok fantastic on the skin, it keeps the skin hydrated and moist. It helps keep your skin tight and toned. I used this 3 times a day and massaged this just below my breasts right down to the bottom of my tummy, baby absolutely love this, (I’m not surprised he didn’t want to come out)

Im very happy that I don’t have any stretch marks after my pregnancies.

Remember a healthy baby is a happy baby.

Lots of love
