WOW I can honestly say that I am so proud to be a woman today. International Women’s Day is something to be massively proud of. It’s a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
Society is changing and women are becoming more independent every day and its something we as women should to encourage. Women empower women, we work well alone but together we can do so much.
This is a day once a year where women can stand tall and strong, come together to make a pledge to become the woman you want to be., to influence and inspire other young women and girls.
9 months ago I made a pledge to myself to NOT allow domestic violence to define me, I decided to stand up, speak out and not allow my fears or society stop me from doing what is RIGHT. I decided to stand up for women, girls, and men all over the world and speak out. YOU can do the same. We all have a voice and are entitled to voice our opinion freely.
Lets stick together and make a pledge today and encourage women and men to come together, promote gender parity. Everyone – men and women – can pledge to take a concrete step to help achieve gender parity more quickly, whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias. Each of us can be a leader within our own organisation of influence and commit to take action to help include and advance women. Share with your friends, social networks and communities and encourage them to make a pledge as well. Together, we can accelerate the clock. We together can make things move quicker.

Lets encourage women to up their skills and not be afraid to become a stronger, more independent person in todays society.
