Protein – Yay? or Nay?

What is protein??? Protein is a macronutrient that is essential to building muscle mass. It is commonly found in animal products, Protein is made up of small compounds called amino acids. There are hundreds of amino acids that exist, but the human body only utilizes 22 of them. There are three macronutrients,  protein, fats and carbohydrates. Macronutrients provide calories, or energy. The body requires large amounts of macronutrients to sustain life.

You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones.

  • When protein is broken down in the body it helps to fuel muscle mass.

  1. I’ve been using rice protein this last 6 mos. It so much easy on belly digestion.

    When I ran out I saw a whey form with greens mix. So far it pretty easy on belly. Mixed with frozen wild berries (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry) and or flax seed or or banana or mango.
